Merchandising Guidelines for Easter

The way products are displayed in your boutique plays a significant role in sales. Not only do your customers need to clearly see what you’re offering, but they need to see the merchandise in an attractive light, both figuratively and literally.

As you prepare for the upcoming Easter holiday, follow these 6 merchandising guidelines:

Combine Easter Products

As with all themed displays, don’t expect your customers to pick out which colors or styles go with Easter. Make the sale easy. Create a seasonal space specifically curated for the holiday, so your customers don’t have to think about it.

Put the display in a prominent, high-traffic position, such as the front of the store, on an aisle end cap or near the register.

Add Easter Decorations

Draw in shoppers with an Easter-themed poster or stickers affixed to your boutique window.

Create Easter baskets for your display filled with a jewelry product + combinations of candy, flowers, decorated eggs, baby chicks, bunnies and stuffed animals. No need to go overboard here. The point is to draw attention to the merchandise. One large basket or a few smaller ones will do the trick.

For more fun, stuff plastic eggs with a surprise, such as a free gift with purchase or a coupon.

Incorporate Trending Colors & Styles

Pastel greens, pinks, blues and yellows are common for Easter. The holiday falls later than usual in 2022, so don’t be afraid to incorporate trending Spring and Summer colors, such as neons and bolder hues. Florals themes are always a hit, along with pearls, crystals and delicate/feminine styles.

Don’t Forget the Details

Shoppers may be looking for jewelry to wear on Easter as well as pieces to give as gifts. Make  sure your customers are aware if you offer gift boxes and gift wrapping. And, don’t forget the gift receipts!

Refresh Your Display

Don’t feel the need to display all of our Easter jewelry at once. Plan your strategy with enough time to adjust the merchandise throughout the campaign to keep your customers excited and to test which products are most successful.

Think Digital

For your online store, group your holiday products on an Easter Collection page. Place a banner or call-to-action on your home page to direct customers to the Easter shop. Coordinate your social media and email campaigns to drive awareness and sales.
